Emergency First Response (EFR) COURSE

Begin your adventure under the waves

This is a medic first aid certification which is a prerequisite for anyone wishing to take the PADI Rescue Course. The PADI Emergency First Response (EFR) gives a very good insight on how to deal with everyday injuries and is open for divers and non-divers alike. The one day course also includes CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) training and the course is based on internationally recognized medical guidelines for emergency care.

You will be taught the basics in emergency care and CPR by one of Sharks Bay Umbi Diving Village’s qualified instructors and learn how to carry out primary and secondary assessment, become familiar with the ABC’s (airways, breathing and circulation) and how to maintain these by monitoring and, if necessary, administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

You will gain an insight into emergency first response and treatment of a wide range of acute injuries including bleeding, shock management, stabilisation of fractures and an introduction of illnesses and conditions.

If you choose to make the PADI Nitrox Course with the two dives then these dives can easily be done on our house reef, here at Umbi Sharks Bay Diving Village. Alternatively you can incorporate the PADI Nitrox Course into your daily dive package. It can also be completed on one of our Red Sea Liveaboards.
