If you are a complete beginner and want to experience the thrill of Scuba Diving but don’t want to start a full course then the PADI Discover Scuba Diving will be the choice for you. It will also count towards your PADI Scuba Diver or PADI Open Water certificate if you decide to continue with your diving education. No previous experience is necessary and this will only take part of a day from your holiday in Sharm el Sheikh.
This is a quick and easy introduction to Scuba Diving and NOT a scuba certification course.
Your Umbi Sharks Bay diving instructor will teach you the basic principles of scuba diving and conduct a knowledge development session and briefing that will cover the following points:
Then your instructor will take you to make a confined dive in the shallow water of the Red Sea (not exceeding 4 metres) to practice your skills.
Your second dive will be an open water dive on our house reef (up to a maximum of 12 metres) and this can be used as a credit towards either the PADI Scuba Diver Course or PADI Open Water Course. The credit only applies when the course is made within 6 months from completion of the PADI Discover Scuba Diving.
Please note that all student divers must complete the PADI Divers Medical Questionnaire and Medical Statement prior to starting any course.
If a student has any of the medical conditions that are listed then signed clearance from a doctor experienced in diving medicine must be provided on check-in, this can also be arranged locally with the doctors at the hyperbaric chamber.
