Sharks Bay Umbi Diving Village is Sharm el Sheikhs oldest Bedouin owned dive centre and hotel was created over 30 years ago by Umbarak, known to all as Umbi.
At a time when Sharm el Sheikh was nothing more than some sheltered sandy beaches and just a few basic huts and tents for accommodation, Umbi created his original dive centre with a few huts on the beach to attract some of the first divers to Sharm el Sheikh.
Since the very beginning Umbi has strived to make Sharks Bay unique in the area and our village is now a self-contained haven of tranquility with stunning views across the bay to Tiran Island.
Our village has changed greatly since the early days and now we have three types of hotel rooms with a restaurant, beach bar and Bedouin tent, our on-site dive centre and our jetty is just a minutes walk away. We also have a small supermarket and some shops where you can buy your holiday souvenirs and the bright lights and shops of Naama Bay are only a 15-minute taxi ride away.
Many aspects of Sharks Bay have changed over the years but our motto still remains the same, you really will “come as a guest but leave as a friend”.

A few tents but not much else!
