Sharks Bay Umbi Diving Village has 5 boats, the “Freedom fleet” giving us the flexibility to offer tailor-made liveaboard safaris with a guaranteed departure of only 6 guests. Our fleet includes 4 air-conditioned boats that we use for the liveaboards; our new boat, Freedom III will be operational from 1st April 2012. All our boats have oxygen, first aid and Emergency First Response trained staff.

We can offer mini-liveaboards from 2 days / 1 night to an unlimited number of days so you can experience the whole of the northern Red Sea, the mini-liveaboards are designed for those who want to try life onboard one of our diving boats but do not want to commit to being aboard for more than a short break. A week on board will take you to such famous places as the Straits of Tiran, Ras Mohammed, the wrecks of the Thistlegorm and Dunraven or further still, to the Straits of Gubal with its unique reef, Abu Nuhas and four wrecks. Our cabins are simply but comfortably furnished and on all our trips we take a RIB for additional safety and to give us the opportunity to dive on reefs where the larger boats cannot go. Safety is all important at Sharks Bay; all of our guides and skippers are experienced in first-aid and environmental protection and participate in regular further training programs.

We require a minimum of 30 logged dives to join our safaris and you must have dived within the last year. Download your safari dive regulations here.
All our safari prices include full board accommodation, soft drinks, water, tanks, weights and guide but exclude equipment hire and torch rental, Ras Mohammed entrance fees and chamber fees. Non-divers are welcome.
