I’m writing to thank you for organising our holiday to Sharks Bay last week. The holiday was fabulous, the dive centre, hotel, dive guides and dive sites were all amazing, nothing was too much trouble. We ended up being able to do 7 days boat diving and a night dive, and despite being on three different boats during the week, each crew and dive guide were brilliant. Alex, the Dive Centre Manager was helpful, as were the reception staff. All in all, this diving holiday was a return to diving for me after a period of not diving and it couldn’t have been any better. Thank you for organising this for us, we would be delighted to recommend Sharks Bay Umbi and Oonas Divers to any other divers.

I have just arrived home from my first stay at Umbi Dive Village and I would like to thank everyone at umbi for a great time, I can’t believe that somewhere can keep such a relaxed atmosphere in amongst all the holiday chaos of the Sharm area. I was already booked for a return visit in May and since returning home I have also booked with Oonasdivers for August and if work allows I will probably come a couple more times before christmas and might do my rescue diver course.

Just a quick line to let you know how we got on with Freedom V and the crew.

To sum it up, the week was just perfect! The crew were superb – all hats off to Mohammed who once again managed to cook THE most amazing fresh food every day. The weather was great which meant we could finally dive the Thistlegorm – after a three year wait! Nour was a superb guide, patient and caring – he was also a good laugh! Thanks once again – it has been our best dive experience yet – can’t wait to book up again for next year! Hope you like the photos – unfortunately my son flooded his camera on the first dive so underwater pictures were taken on the old camera – not quite so special, but I’ve attached a couple of my land pictures.

It’s been a couple of weeks already since we stayed at Umbi. Looking back on a great week, enjoying the food, the friendly people, the amazing underwater world (been speaking with a ‘Cousteau accent’ for days after) and last but not least all the things I learned from my dive instructor Sameh.

Just a note to say thanks to everybody there for a great week. All the guests were really friendly and coolio, which I think is the sign of a good set-up and excellent people working there. I’m really looking forward to coming back (inshallah). Hope to see you next year!

Another fab week at Umbi Dive Centre, Sharks Bay. Our fourth time back and we will be back again for sure. The staff cannot do enough for you and our Dive Guide Yasser was, as always, brilliant and such fun. The crew on the boat Freedom V111 were absolutely fabulous too….. we have no complaints at all.

Just to let you know that H and I had a great time in Shark’s Bay at Umbi’s – and will certainly be recommending it to friends and family.

The rooms were great, the restaurant lovely, the beach – easy, but of particular brilliance was the actual diving club and the people who all made it just that special.
Please do pass on thanks to: Steve – our unphased instructor and sometime tour guide, Bev – his wife, admin for the hotel (special thanks for the loan of her swimming costume, of all the things for me to forget!), Alex – dive school organiser, first aider, voice of encouragement!…. and all the staff – bar/ reception / restaurant / dive school /room-service – who were all pleasant, helpful and did the hotel proud: clearly a happy crew!

Surprisingly – July was not really too hot at all as the temperature was lovely, cooling to a fairly comfortable heat at night – though of course the air conditioning certainly helped. H took most of the pictures; she may send some along later….

Thanks for your efficient service: helped to make it all a pleasant experience!
I know where to come next time!
